Darby Crash Band
The Darby Crash Band was a musical endeavor initiated by Darby Crash and Pat Smear, both founding members of the Los Angeles punk rock band, the Germs. This project took shape after the Germs disbanded in 1980. Adding bassist David “Bosco” Danford and Circle Jerks drummer Lucky Lehrer to their lineup, they embarked on a new chapter by performing in Los Angeles.
Energetic Performances and Setlists
The band’s live performances featured a blend of well-known songs from the Germs’ archives, alongside freshly penned material. Despite their impactful stage presence, the Darby Crash Band did not venture into the realm of studio recordings.
Unrecorded Energy
Regrettably, the band’s existence remains undocumented in the form of studio albums. However, a digitally remastered live recording, capturing the band’s dynamic performance at the Starwood in West Hollywood, is slated for release in CD format.
