Assjack

Assjack is an American heavy metal band from Gridley, California, formed in 1999 by Hank Williams III and Garrett Bremer. Known for their blend of thrash metal, death metal, hardcore punk, and metalcore, Assjack has been a significant presence in the punk metal scene since their inception. The band evolved from Williams’ live show incarnations, transitioning into a strictly punk metal band between 2008 and 2010.

Formation and Early Years (1999–2009)

Assjack was formed in 1999 by Hank Williams III and Garrett Bremer. Initially part of Hank Williams III’s live performances, the band began playing music throughout 2008 to 2010, solidifying their presence in the punk metal scene. For Assjack’s highly anticipated self-titled studio debut released in 2009, Hank Williams III took on the role of vocalist and played all instruments on the recording. Following the release, the band expanded their live lineup to include Gary Lindsey on vocals, Hank Williams III on guitar and vocals, and Joe Buck on bass, although Buck later focused on his solo career.
