Blood For Blood

Boston hardcore legends Blood for Blood are known for their fierce energy and politically charged lyrics

Blood for Blood is an American hardcore punk band from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1994. Known for their aggressive sound influenced by bands such as Sheer Terror and Killing Time, they have been a significant presence in the hardcore scene.

History

Founded by Erick “Buddha” Medina and “White Trash” Rob Lind, Blood for Blood emerged from the Boston hardcore scene in 1994. They signed to Victory Records in 1997 and released several studio albums that resonated with fans for their raw energy and unapologetic lyrics about street life, resistance, and anti-authoritarianism.

After releasing their 2004 album Serenity, the band went on hiatus. In 2010, guitarist Rob Lind focused on sobriety which led to his temporary absence from touring. Billy Graziadei from Biohazard filled in on guitar during this period. In 2012, vocalist Erick Medina was removed from the band due to legal issues, and the band later reformed with Rob Lind taking over vocal duties.
