Fairweather
Fairweather is an American rock band from Virginia, known for their unique blend of melodic post-hardcore. They have released three full-length albums on Equal Vision Records: If They Move…Kill Them (2001), Lusitania (2003), and Fairweather (2014). The band also released several demos and an EP titled Alaska. After an 8-year hiatus, Fairweather reunited in 2011 for a reunion show and have continued to play shows and record music since.
Biography
Fairweather formed in the suburbs of Fairfax, Virginia, and gained recognition in the Washington, D.C. area. After receiving critical acclaim for their debut album, If They Move…Kill Them, they toured with notable acts such as Thursday, Brand New, Saves The Day, and Piebald. The band disbanded in 2003 after the release of their second album, Lusitania, but reunited in 2011 to play a show at the Black Cat in Washington, D.C. They have continued to perform and, in 2014, released their self-titled third album.
