New Mexican Disaster Squad originated in Orlando

New Mexican Disaster Squad originated in Orlando, Florida, in 1999 and remained active until their last performance at the Fest 7 on November 1, 2008. Following a brief reunion for Radfest in North Carolina in May 2010, the band’s journey took various paths.

Musical Style

According to the band’s MySpace page, their musical style is described as a nod to the heydays of American hardcore, drawing influences from both the east and west coasts.

Post-Band Ventures

After the dissolution of New Mexican Disaster Squad, former members pursued new musical endeavors. On December 28, 2008, a MySpace post revealed that Goldfarb, Minino, and Johnson joined forces with Tony Foresta, the vocalist from Municipal Waste, to form a band called No Friends.

Eight years later, Goldfarb, alongside Chris Pfister, Chris Kretzer, and Zach Anderson, founded a new punk-pop band in Orlando named Debt Neglector. Their debut album, Atomicland, was released in August 2018 under SmartPunk Records.
