History

Early Years and Criterion Records (2003–2005)

Formed after members of Ultrafink evolved into a new project, Bullets and Octane began releasing music on Criterion Records. In 2003, they released the EP One Night Stand Rock N’ Roll Band and their first DVD, The Revelry. By 2004, they issued a second EP and released their debut album The Revelry, which featured remastered tracks from earlier EPs. This period marked the band’s establishment in the hardcore scene, expanding their reach through extensive touring.

Major Label Debut and RCA Records (2006–2007)

Their second album, In the Mouth of the Young, was released in April 2006 on Sony BMG/RCA Records, marking their major label debut. During this time, the band toured on the Family Values Tour alongside renowned acts such as Korn and Stone Sour. Their song “Pirates” featured in the video game MX vs. ATV Unleashed, and “Save Me Sorrow” was used in WWE events. After one album with RCA, they transitioned to ARES Records for Song for the Underdog in 2007, continuing to build their fan base in California and Europe.

Line-up Changes and Evolving Projects (2008–2009)

Between 2008 and 2009, Bullets and Octane experienced several line-up changes and side projects. Guitarists were replaced, and band members pursued other musical endeavors while maintaining the band’s signature sound. In 2009, they released a compilation titled Laughing in the Face of Failure, combining previous albums with unreleased tracks, marking a transition period for the band.

Later Years: New Releases and Tours (2010–present)
