Hjertestop is a Danish punk band that originated from the vibrant music scene surrounding Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen. The band’s formation brought together former members of prominent Danish punk acts such as Incontrollados, Død Ungdom, Young Wasteners, and Leathervein. Since their inception in 2004, Hjertestop has been a driving force in the European punk scene, captivating audiences with their raw energy and infectious melodies.

History

Hjertestop emerged from the underground punk scene of Copenhagen, where they quickly established themselves as a formidable presence. Drawing inspiration from the DIY ethos and rebellious spirit of punk rock, the band began playing concerts across Europe. Over the years, they embarked on numerous tours, both small-scale and larger ventures, spreading their music to countries such as Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, Croatia, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Turkey, Spain, Basque Country, and even the United States.
