Formed in 2010, The Black Pacific emerged as a punk rock music project led by Jim Lindberg, the esteemed vocalist of Pennywise. Collaborating with previously unknown members, Alan Vega on drums and Davey Latter on bass, the band quickly garnered attention. They inked a deal with SideOneDummy Records, and on September 14, 2010, they unveiled their self-titled debut album.

Lineup Changes and Evolution

On October 8, 2010, The Black Pacific announced significant lineup changes. Marc Orrell, previously associated with the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, joined as the second guitarist, while Gavin Caswell took on the bassist role, succeeding Davey Latter, who returned to drumming duties with his other band, Everest.

Ongoing Musical Journey

In June 2010, shortly after completing their inaugural album, Jim Lindberg shared plans for The Black Pacific’s musical future. He revealed that the band had more songs written than could fit on their debut album, expressing excitement about recording another batch of songs.
