Bodyjar
Bodyjar is an Australian pop punk band formed in 1990 in Melbourne. Known for their catchy melodies and high-energy shows, they achieved significant popularity in the 1990s and remain influential in the punk scene.
History
Originally known as Damnation and later Helium, the band changed their name to Bodyjar in 1994. Their early work, including the album Take a Look Inside (1994), laid the groundwork for their signature sound. Over the years, they released several successful albums such as Rimshot! (1996), No Touch Red (1998), and How It Works (2000), which reached the top 20 in Australia.
After disbanding in 2009 following extensive touring, Bodyjar reunited in 2012. They continued to perform and record new music, releasing the album Role Model in 2013 and later New Rituals in 2022, marking their sustained presence in the punk scene.
