Burning Heads are a French punk rock and reggae band originating from Orléans, France. Formed in 1987, the band evolved from independent releases to international recognition with albums on labels such as Epitaph Records and Victory Records.

History

Formation and Early Years

Burning Heads formed in 1987 in Orléans, initially releasing records independently. By 1994, they signed with Play It Again Sam, marking their transition to a wider audience. Their music blends punk rock energy with reggae rhythms, setting them apart in the French music scene.

Breakthrough and International Success

The band gained popularity in America with the release of Be One with the Flames in 1998 on Epitaph Records, followed by 1999’s Escape on Victory Records. These albums expanded their fanbase beyond Europe, leading to further releases on major labels like Sony Music Entertainment’s Yelen Musiques and Opposite Records.

Recent Years

Over the years, Burning Heads have continued to release new music on various labels. Their lineup has evolved, with current members including Mikiss on guitar and backing vocals, DJ TDK on drums, JYB on bass, Fra as lead vocalist, and Phil returning as lead guitarist. The band remains active, releasing albums and EPs while touring internationally.
