Latex Generation

Latex Generation formed in New York in the early 1990s

Latex Generation is a punk rock band that formed in New York in the early 1990s, and their name came from a news report focused on STDs, the AIDS epidemic, and what it could mean for teenagers at the time.

How the band name took shape

The band’s name was inspired by that news report and the idea of a generation growing up under the pressure of sexual health fears and public warnings.

Releases and the road

Over the years, Latex Generation released two full length CDs, three 7 inch records, and contributed tracks to a number of compilation albums. The band also toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Australia, including appearances connected to the Van’s Warped Tour.
